Learning teaching training activity in beautiful Sandeford (Norway) hosted by Fønix

Throughout the training, the teachers discussed the various aspects of Blended-Learning approaches, such as the benefits and challenges they experienced when first using this teaching style. They were also introduced to best practices our Norwegian partner has established within the last years since implementing eLearning activities into their portfolio. Besides that, they extensively tested the LMS platform and reviewed the learning program that we developed, which will enable teachers to create their own Blended-Learning courses. We gained valuable insight into where we need to make adjustments from their input.

From the 5. – 8.04. we met in beautiful Sandefjord at the facilities of our Norwegian Partner Fønix. The partners working on the project were accompanied by trainers from Germany, France, Lithuania and Italy.

Based on this feedback we will make some final modifications to make the learning program as helpful to teachers as possible. Once that is done, the learning program will be publically available.

So stay tuned for what’s to come.

Teacher training event in beautiful Sandefjord, Norway, hosted by our Norwegian Partner Fonix AS

The training event took place in Sandefjord, Norway, from the 5th to the 7th of April, 2022. The participants were trainers and teachers associated with the project partners from France, Norway, Italy, Lithuania and Germany.

What happened during this training?

In the three-day training, vocational education and training teachers were presented with the material developed so far and the associated learning platform. The participating teachers, who come from the countries of the partner organisations, give feedback on these two modules and thus give us an impression of where adjustments still need to be made and what is already working well.

Afterwards, the participants had the opportunity to transform an existing course from practice according to the flipped classroom method and exchange ideas with colleagues from other European countries.

Project result 1 is ready – Research on and best practice of blended learning courses

What is it about?

This project result provides a broad overview of Blended-Learning as a teaching method. We give an overview of its essentials, helpful tools, characteristics, and, last but not least, the best practices of the five partner countries (France, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, and Norway).

It also works as a database of the findings from the research we conducted that lays the foundation for the handbook for implementing the Blended-Learning approach, which is the second project result of the BlendedVET-project.

What is the relevance?

By gathering extensive data, including many concrete examples from all over the EU, we offer the opportunity to learn from organisations that have successfully implemented Blended-Learning into their educational framework. With the pandemic being an enormous factor that led to the development of new teaching approaches, there is a strong push toward eLearning. Now every teacher willing to implement the Blended-Learning approach can profit from these best practices and use the information we provide to successfully transform their lessons according to the Blended-Learning approach. Using these resources, they are set up for future occasions where they find eLearning provides the best learning experience.

Who is it for?

This research database is aimed at trainers and educators who work in adult education, mainly for educators who work in vocational and educational training and want to implement the Blended-Learning approach to their lessons.

First in-person meeting hosted by our Italian Partner Euroform RFS

The second transnational partner meeting of the project took place in Italy on the 26th and 27th of October 2021. The host partner this time was the Italian Partner partner Euroform RFS, who welcomed the representatives of the Frech and Norwegian partner organisations to Torino.

On day one, the participants met local teachers and discussed the challenges of teaching during the pandemic and how blended learning modalities could help cope with the current situation where face-to-face lessons are not feasible.

The participants also made some final adjustments to the result of the first project output – research on and best practice examples for blended learning courses. We will soon publish the output – so stay in touch.

On the second day, the focus shifted to the other outputs – the creation of a learning package for blended learning courses and the piloting of said learning package. Since we are right in the middle of the work on these outputs, it will take some more time until we can share our findings with you. But the partnership is on a good track and excited to share the results with you as soon as possible.
